Power steering conversion

I remember reading somewhere before that it is quite common for people to convert to power steering.

I've a 1991 Talbot Express and although it's a cracking van the steering is a bit of a nightmare trying to get it parked.

Is it worth getting it updated or could it cause more problems? Anyone know a rough price for the work? It's not the end of the world if I keep it as is but if the price is right I would consider it.

The only sensible way these days is electric PAS (EPAS) applied to the column. I know it has been used on a Talbot Express but l can't remember any details. Quick Google & here it is:

On an old 1990 transit i got a complete system from a breakers...
It was pretty much a bolt on job ..
It was hydraulic and came with everything i needed to convert..
Not sure if thats an option for you
