enough to know i shouldnt touch things i know nothing about ....
hi, we're tempted to buy a portable twin tub washing machine - does anyone use one, are they any good or a waste of time?

thanks in advance

Had two so far the bigger one was too big for me ,and a storage problem.
But worked well when needed.
The smaller version again worked well and saved hand washing.but with both you need lots of water if off grid
Or down at the laundry was area plugged in
Or I was doing something wrong .
Came in handy though.
:D

As we spend most of our time in France we use the supermarket laverie, cheaper than buying a machine, saves on payload, solves the problem of drying washing.

If I was on a site for a month it might be an idea, but then most sites have laundries, so for me not sure of their value.

They wash and spin well.
Can easily fit a double duvet cover.
But as previously said, you do need a lot of water. Hot water to put into the machine and a tub or 2 for rinsing.
They can take up a bit of room in the van but if your camped up for a while, useful.

We sell a lot of them and get great feedback from customers. Our model has been very reliable, we keep spares but have never had a customer need any yet. We have only a few left now, If you are going to th e Norfolk show we will have them there.

Agree, I sometimes just hand wash, and use the spinner. I find mine is better than some commercial machines. When travelling we keep ours in the shower, when on site if we've got the Quest screen house up it lives in there.

Some models are the washer that also has a slot in basket to become a spinner..
So doing same job but taking up less room than a twin tub.. (y)

As said they spin well. Ours gets used for smaller stuff, if away along time sheets etc find a laundromat.

Love our one, washes well doesn't use too much water, on our last trip from a full tank did the washing and a shower each day for both of us inculding the boss washing her hair still managed 4 days on a tankfull. :D2

But they dont spin fast like the twin tub.

I have one and find it really good.

I do the white wash first, spin the water into a bucket and then return that water to the wash tub. Then follow on doing multiple washes with the same water, ending with jeans. Obviously you'll need to top the wash water up a bit but nowhere near as much as if you spin the soapy water out and don't return it to the wash tub.

The spin cycle really does spin well... I would say more than some automatic washing machines.

She washes her hair in the washing machine?

Exactly what I do. Wouldn't be without it on longer trips.

Hi Mr B.
there are a couple of washing machines for sale in the Classified section.

My mum uses hers almost daily at home. I swear she has a washing clothing addiction. (y) She now only uses the automatic for sheets, towels and anything else for a weekly wash.
