Can you book to stay at the above carpark behind the Sun pub in the village or is it first come first served .noticed loads of mohos on their this weekend.

No booking system but we've stayed there a few times with no s
problems. It certainly empties out later in the day.

just turn up, its just an extension of the car park. £10 per night/day. Nothing to do with the pub. Its a local farmer doing his bit. There is also a static site further down the track.

Pooley Bridge. WE stayed on the big site a short walk into the village for 4 nights last year. Front line lake pitch. Not expensive. Sorry cannot remember the site name or how much.

Waterfoot is a nice site, it's over the bridge to the West of Pooley, but a nice stroll into the village. Parkfoot and Waterside sites are just south of the village but can be a bit noisy, especially around Bank holidays.

Yes used all of those sites. We have friends with a static on Hillcroft and our dog cant make it on foot to their site anymore so spotted mohos on the carpark and much nearer.

We have stayed in the Sun inn car park for free on several occasions, we normally just contact them through FB and they cone off a parking space for us. They do expect us to have a drink and although we always buy a meal if there for two nights they never put pressure on us to do so. The PB inn across the road also allows you to stay, they will take £10 per adult then take it off the price of food so normally ends up free if you eat there.
