Hi All,
Thought I would share this information with you.
Just reading my March 'The Engineer' and there is an article on the new Polaroid pocket printer. This device does not use ink but has a 'crystalline dye' in the paper which the company refers to as an 'amorphochromic' material. Bascially heat melts the amorphochromic dyes in the paper and hey presto colours!
It will work via blue tooth, wi-fi etc.
A 2" x 3" picture will take 30 seconds to print!
Currently called the Polaroid Zink it is due for release by Christmas.
Seems a great product, but why?
This reason:
'In 2008, the projections for multi-megapixel camera phones say that the number of those that will be sold, just in this year, is more than the total number of cameras of any type that have ever existed'!
Staggering fact, so if you want to make a packet get in on the act!
Regards
Chris
PS it is the 10 - 23 March 2008 edition of The Engineer
