Not got one!
Exp
Since 2006
Having gone past the 1 month point of no return, I cannot go back to Windows 7 following my free Windows 10 downgrade.
I have just discovered that Windows Media Player will not now play MP4 files. This has annoyed me because my nice new Gopro Hero 4 Black action cam is now useless!
Has anyone found a CODEC pack which will make this Windows 10 crap play MP4 video?

Any pointers would be gratefully received!

Try VLC Media Player. It is free and should do the job.

Give it time ..............give it time.

I am now sold on Windows 10.......................VLC will do the job for the videos.

Just post any other queries here...................someone will know.

VLC can't keep up, even with 720 36 frame per second video! It is bloody annoying because WMP on Windows 7 worked fine.

I may have to get that Apple, I've had enough!!!!!!

I am Apple through and through, but I bought a ASUS Transformer to give Windows a go, which seemed to be OK on windows 8.1 then they pestered me to upgrade to Windows 10 which I duly did.
Now the same as you, I cannot view some .jpg images nor watch some videos that i could before!
How is this progress?

According to MS, media player 12 is supposed to play mp4 videos and it should have been installed on your pc when Windows 10 was installed.

Could it be something in the way your camera is recording the video? Is there any way of altering the settings? Or is it perhaps the frame rate?
