The new system will take 4 month's to set up, I guess there will also be a price hype..

What happens I wonder if you are in Spain from November to Feb?

So this was last updated Oct 2019..... has anything actually changed since then?
Nope ... until they have sorted out the classification for the UK there is no definitive answer to what we will need to do.

Why does it work like it does? The UK was always the paranoid country trying to keep rabies out from the Johnny foreigner countries, as it has seemed to have died out in most of Europe it seems they are the ones questioning us as dubious sources of all things dodgy. Seems to have become a political matter more than an animal one.

Pretty simple. We were an EU member which gave access to the EU pet travel scheme. We are no longer an EU member and once the transition period has ended we no longer have access to the pet travel scheme. Unless an alternative is negotiated. Called taking back control I believe.

Job for Chris Grayling?

I have just obtained French Pet Passports for my dogs (€16 each) from my French vet - we have a holiday home there - in addition to their UK Pet Passports. They now have dual nationality. 😂

Why, I don't really know, but it can do no harm and may prove useful in the future.

As far as I am aware we only ever needed the pet passport to enter the U.K. we’ve never had to show it to anyone when entering any other country. My lad lives in Chamonix which is near the Swiss and Italian borders he goes in and out of those countries with his dog almost daily. The dog doesn’t have any form of passport.

As stated it won’t be any good without the Titre blood test and that takes three months from test to validation.
We have Spanish Pet Passport and Test Certificate for Titre.
