making our way back up through Spain and plan to spend a few days in Peniscola before taking the 232 via Morella and Alcanz.

Anybody done this route, just wondering if it will be ok in our 7.4 mtr low line M/Home.

Any stop overs on route would be appreciated as well

We were in Morello last Sunday , artics seem to use it quite a lot. Did not go beyond Morello as there are some areas of rough road beyond there. (According to my Atlas) it was the intention to go right back towards Barcelona. However Saragoza is on all the Sign posts. So I would assume it is ok !

Are you still using that Atlas given to you by Napoleon Martin?

Whilst it's true that a few years ago there were problems with the road north of Morella, those very busy civil engineers have created a lovely road to Alcaniz and beyond.

Looks interesting.

So did you head south on the 223 then 225 road to Morella Emmit

If the yellow road on my Atlas is good ( 225 then 223) we will head north on that on. Just don’t want to be doing silly hairpins in a 7-4mtr van lol

We went from the Aire very early in the morning up to Hijar and then onto the N232 to Alcaniz then a short bit of the N420 before turning right onto the N232 to Morella.

You might think that's a funny way of travelling from the Aire.
There was NOTHING!!! funny about running out of gas at 8.30pm the previous evening, freezing to death thru the night and going sharpish to Alcaniz, first thing to get some more.
It sort of burns into the memory does that.

That rates up there along with the toilet “ full” warning light coming on when itsleast convenient!

We did this route in February. A huge amount of roadworks,
en-route, the diversions take you from the old road to the new road, back and forth, but doable. Our van is 7.4 and the only problem we had was getting stuck behind an old landrover for a few miles. The best sites, we found were just past Zaragoza, Olite a lovely old town, and Arguedas, small town with site surrounded by old cave houses. Both in camperstop.
