Parking ticket in Norway

For shopping for 30 minutes in a supermarket. Apparently parked in the wrong bit of the car park. The supermarket manager said he has spoken to the parking company about poor signage several times and advised us to just
ignore it.

Anyway, question is - has anyone experienced getting fines for parking or maybe speeding from Norway? Can they even follow up foreign plates? Would they
bother?

It amusing - every time someone asks us where we are from they come back with some comment about the football. I'm tempted to find a pub showing the game tonight and take in an England flag!

His parents were Norwegian, Dad played for Leeds, they returned to Norway when he was 3.

Lots of people have dual citizenship (or more) or choose the citizenship of their parents if born in a different country should rules allow it. Lots of variations .

Not Norway but got a ticket in Sweden on our way to Norway, I contacted the number on the ticket and pleaded my case and they said rip it up.

Had one in San Francisco when I parked on the wrong side of the street, certain days the street cleaner does one side of the street so no parking on those days. I went to the local traffic office and spoke with someone, I was honest and told him I didn’t realise what day it was He didn’t laugh and was very stern, he then asked for my DL and PP before laughing at the fear on my face again he let me off with it.
