Parking in/near Lewes (Sussex)

Looking to park my 3m high/6.7m long Motorhome in or around Lewis in Sussex on a Sunday.

Any ideas of a place where we can park (Don't mind paying)
Or are we better off using public transport to get into town ?

Parking in Lewes is always difficult. And some roads are very narrow. Suggest public transport would be best. They have a train station.

If you don’t mind a walk I’d suggest Cliffe Industrial Estate being as it’s a Sunday

As a local I’d recommend parking in Seaford and getting the train.

OK, now looking where to park outside Lewes and walk or cycle or public transport in.
Any suggestions ?

Looking on google earth, it appears that next to Berwick station is the Berwick Inn, which appears to have a large car park with several motorhomes parked at the end.
Can any local confirm ?

There is a CMC Cl at Kingston , pretty close, no euh . Level grass with water and drain. On a bus route near a pub as well. We have used it no problems

Think you will find they are buses as they use the car park to store them overnight. The Inn does accomodate overnight Motorhome stops so may be an option.

Funnily enough we had a bit of a nightmare trying to park in Lewes yesterday. Trying to go to the cinema in a skoda fabia! Some on street parking we pulled up at was £7.80 for 2 hours! Town centre is very tight but perhaps you could park in one of the suburbs to the north of the town centre and walk or cycle in?
