What sat nav are you running.
Almost all will have a feature like "Where am I?" or you'll be able to click on the vehicle icon to see the co-ords.

If you have an Apple iPhone you can get the coords from the Compass app that comes built in to IOS.

What a hero and a Big thank you, always nice to have spots that have been used successfully.
I notice you have a list for Slovenia, how did you get on there as I though wilding was a no, no there although we did see some spots we thought we would be OK didn't risk it as it was some years ago on one of our first Motorhome trips.

using a snooper truck mate old but still up to date mapping. fun!!! fun!!! fun!!!
This may not work with yours but it does on my Garmin. Select "Where to" and then go to coordinates, as if you were going to enter some co-ords for a place to go to. However, don't enter anything, just look at what is already entered in the fields - these should be your current location.

Thanks very much we have stayed at a few of the Spanish ones very very good

Will be trying out a few more of thew list next year

Thank you so much for taking the time and effort in listing all the GPS positions. We are off to France, Portugal and Spain in August and this will come in very handy. and thanks.

First of all - thanks to @Our Bumble for the info.

On our snooper:-
Tap screen and select 'My favourite', from the top of the screen
then 'Favourites' from options,
Then 'Add' from top of screen,
From bottom of menu pick 'save using current point'
This will bring up the map showing coords.
Click 'quick menu' and then 'continue'
Name your place then click save.
Done!

That got me looking at my Garmin (67 model) and on that you just tap the vehicle icon on the map and a menu comes up offering to save the current location. The name can be edited.

Sorry not had internet for a few days. Slovenia does have areas that are off bounds, like the national parks but recently it has opened a few aires. These aires are free, so well worth looking at. Outside the national parks we were fine to wild camp but we did a mixture of camping sites and wild camping...sort of played it by ear.

I've read all the Portugal and Spain blogs so far. Sorry about Peanut. He had a good life with you tho. Going to start on Holland next, when I can allow a few hours to sit and read because I know I'll continue onto your next country from there!!!

Thanks again.

It was 2008 when we went we did find a couple of Aires.
