DO NOT UPDATE TO 1.07!

If you are on 1.07 you need to update to 1.08 as soon as possible. The version 1.07 has been pulled as it has bricked some units.

Orion XS:

• Add firmware v1.08
  • Fix issue introduced on v1.07 that could lead to the charger failing when the battery voltage is above the output voltage target.

I’m not sure as I’m not being prompted to do an update. It is available via Victron Professional so it should be generally available soon.

Howdon I see qhat version I'm on? Looking at the victron connect app it doesn't seem to have an update function like the solar controllers do?

I've currently got the 30A version B2B and was wondering whether to upgrade as the fridge seems to suck a big chunk of the output. The Victron Connect app on my iPhone shows v6.12 with no apparent facility to update. I'm not sure if that's showing the B2B software or the app software.

6.12 is the app version. If you go into the B2B in the app, click on settings, click on the 3 vertical dots and then product info - that will show you the firmware version of the B2B. I’m sure you are aware that the 30A firmware is completely different to the 50A firmware and has a different numbering system.

I can recommend upgrading from the 30A B2B to the 50A. The 50A runs much cooler, is more efficient and has about twice the output of the 30A version. The 30A version drops to about 20A or less when it gets hot.
