I have a 2017 fiat Ducato with Euro 6 engine , it's coming up for an oil change , I have it done every year , now it's out of warranty, I won't be using the main dealer , so does anybody use any other oil on a Euro 6 engine rather than the Patronas Salina WR 0-30

Any oil that meets or exceeds the required Fiat specification shown in your handbook. Opie Oils website is a good place to start. Enter the Fiat specification in the oil search and it will list the matching oils that they sell. Even if you don't want to buy from them, you will have a range to look for.

Shell Helix Ultra ECT C2/C3 0W30 is one reputable oil that meets the Fiat spec, and Shell Helix Ultra are the range of oils that FCA "recommend" in the N. American market, in the same way that they "recommend" Petronas Selina in Europe.

Cant remember, but how many litres of oil does the Euro 6 take to re-fill when servicing? I think its over 5Ltrs?
Just had a look on line.
5 Litres of Shell Helix Ultra ECT C2/C3 0W30 on line, first to pop up was priced at £46.99 on E Bay:eek:
Petronas Selina WrRForward 0W-30 ACEA C2 found on E bay is eye wateringly higher in price.
Opie Oils dont seem to offer Pertronas, but they do have Miller Oils at the same speck for around £45 per 5 litres
At those prices & specks I would only change ours at 2 years, as we would never hit the mileage range of 27K miles beforehand. Its fully synthetic, so it doesnt go off like the older mineral blended oils.
Its only a Fiat Commercial, not a Ferrari, yet its oil is specked up as high as one nearly.
Have fun

We’ve had ours serviced by a Fiat Professional dealer from one year old and they use Fuchs Titan, the only Selina your likely to find in the workshop is the expensive 1ltr top up bottles they sell to customers.

On a 2.3. Fiat I belive the quantity of oil require after draining down and filter change is 5.8 litres.

Castrol 0w30 it’s a fantastic oil. But please, if you keep the van, change at half of 27k. I have never exceeded 9-10k, when the service was required at 18k. The oil can not stay in grade for such a long time and oxidises.

Another vote for Opie.

My van is an older Euro 4 and uses 5w30 (fully synthetic).

7l of Castrol Magnatec + Filter - £52.88 delivered (couple of months ago)

If you are a member of costco they offer oil in their deals time to time and I have compared with opie or eurocar parts etc and it has been the cheapest.

just ordered the same of Fleebay for the same price , probably the same seller

I use Castrol Magnatec because it's great for leaving lubricant coatings in between infrequent starts
