Hoping someone may have or have owned a Vauxhall Insignia.

The car is out in the Netherlands, having been collected from the UK by son, last Saturday. I purchased it for them, it sat outside our house for over a week with no issues.

However, the alarm has activated 3 times in two days for no reason.

Google tells me it could be the vehicle battery, the internal battery in the siren or problems with sensors.

Local Vauxhall Dealer won’t help unless we book it in for diagnostic tests. Vauxhall UK customer services offers no technical advice over the phone. Advised to take it into local Vauxhall Dealership……I said ‘you mean Opel don’t you’?

It’s a 66 plate (2016 model) 1.6 Diesel Estate.

Any owners out there? Thanks in advance.(y)

the above will have your answer, they also cover Vauxhall Insignia
Been trawling the site….not a lot about Insignia alarms, but plenty about Vectra’s.

Just made the list of suspects longer. Think they’ll have to go and get the fault codes read at the Opel Dealership. 🤷‍♂️

Thanks all the same.(y)

Could be something simple as a spider walking in front of an internal sensor
