The IVECO dealership in York replaced my turbo and intercooler under warranty early this year.

Since then, if I put the engine under pressure eg steep climb or heavy acceleration I get little intermittent power losses - feels like a quick change of gear but it is like the turbo just cuts out for a second and comes back in. I gave it month or so to see if it settled down but when it didn't I contacted them at the beginning of October to ask them to look at it.

They said they were too busy and please would I wait until the end of the month. Left it until today and after contacting them they have again said they are too busy and best they could offer was to drop it in and leave it with them and they might get around to it at some point.

I have told them this is entirely unacceptable but unsure what to do next to actually get this sorted before we go away hopefully in January on a long trip. I have asked them if I can take it to Northern Commercials and they will pick up the bill if it is related to their work - just got an email as I was typing this to say I should take it there. Will see if they are any less busy and can take a look at it but not impressed with these guys at all and it means a trip to Huddersfield rather than to the local garage in York

We had exactly the same experience with the Newcastle branch just didn't want to know and told to drop it off and they will look at it when they could as they had more important customers that came first, like you ended up going elsewhere🤷‍♂️

I have used the NET&V at Stockton and found them good. Might be worth a call

I used NET&V in Hull for a few years to service and MOT our motorhome with very good service but the last two occasions they sent it to the DAF truck place across the road then to Hull Van Centre as they didn’t have an MOT tester. Then they started to become less reliable with communication, forgetting we were booked in, or not ringing us when they said they would. They just appeared to go down hill a bit.
We now use Hull Van Centre and they’ve been brilliant so far but I have to be specific with what I want servicing, which suits me.

For MOT you can't beat the council, not doing it to fleece you and always easy with appointments.

Think you'll have same problem at Northern coms, friend of mine had an airbag module fault on his Swift Ducato in June, and Northern told him October before they could look at it. They told him to try Stoneacre Fiat at Cleckheaton. (tad closer than Brighouse for you). they promptly diagnosed it and ordered the part from Italy. still took nearly 3 months to arrive.

As stated in a previous post the immingham branch is just has bad they left my oil filler cap off when it went in for service , could not do the fuel filter did not know how to access it and lost my tracker card which was eventually found inside the unit so good for security 8 months later still not had a letter from company has to what went wrong . AVOID

Your better off using a good independent garage.
Yes but if it is warranty then not much choice.

Anyway, upshot is that Northern Commercials in Brighiouse were happy to book it in for Novemeber 16th but then I got an email back from NEt and van minutes later (!) that they would look at it on 16th November - connect it to diagnostics and order any parts if necessary.

I’ve found Peterbough Iveco quite helpful also Peter Smith commercials in Boston who I use for servicing work.
