Why is it that whenever I have a service the next time I use my van something isn't working? Had a hab service on Wednesday (necessary to maintain warranty) and have now come away and no heating. The hot water is ok and I have checked the fuse At the PCU and that appears fine but the fan to blow the air around isn't kicking in. Any suggestions as to what the problem could be?
Vehicle is an Autocruise Alto with a Truma combi boiler.

See if you've got power to the fan motor if so motor is done if not thermostat could be faulty and also trace and check continuity of the wires

They have been poking around in the heater area and displaced a wire or connector. Check the pugs going into the controller and the heater end. make sure the gas is ON and connected after the pressure test was done.

Hi carol.. I'm not familiar with the system you have ,but do you have a thermostatic control on the van heating which could have been turned right down by someone during the service..
That would prevent the fan from switching on... just a guess..
Ta andy

Thanks guys not sure I understand the recommendations so may have to return to the dealer. @andy63, Hi Andy, there is no thermostat as such just a single sensor with no controls.

There must be a dial to set the temperature, if it's too low it won't switch the fan on.

What control dials do you have. Is it combi 4e. Try shutting the system down completely for 5/10 minutes. Why your waiting if you can get to the unit there is a reset button behind the cover . have you got a operators instruction manual.

Andy.

Thanks @ pops will take a look tomorrow when it is light. The boiler is under the bed so not easy to get at, especially with all the gear that is in there

Thanks for all your help folks. Heating now sorted and I will admit it was user error!!! No fault other than not reading the correct page on the bloody instructions!!!

Good news Carol. Regards Terry

@gillnphil , My friendly dealer told of a fault known as the R.T.F.I for which many a vehicle was brought in to them by both male and female owners!!

Read the f*****g instructions!

We have an anomily in our van in as much as the general hab area feels chilly, we put the heater on but although the water heats up the heating fan will not fire up no matter how high I set it.
The problem seems to be is that the thermostat sensor is near the roof by the door. It appears that hidden away there the temperature is higher than the rest of the van.
Best cure is to take a frozen product from the freezer and hold it under the sensor. Works everytime

No no no no, they printed the instructions on the wrong page.
