Hello, has anyone tried to convert an SUV in to a micro camper? Was it a success? Any tips?

My grandson just did that using a Ford transit connect. It works for him but he has almost no creature comforts. Basically somewhere to sleep.
All his mates think it well cool. We gave him some curtains and camping stove etc.

This is very similar to our first (self converted) camper. Ours was older

I’ve got a doblo sleeps 2 if you are good friends or a couple, sink single hob fridge and thetford. Registered as a motor caravan and I love it.
