Due to the dreaded B word we are staying put this year.
Fancy a week or 10 days in summer/autumn at a nice campsite with a pool and good facilities, rural location.
Any recommendations for the UK, we live on County Durham but can travel.
Good cycling route.
2 dogs.

Seahouses has a great campsite, with excellent pool. Not cheap tho.

Chuff me, we wanted to book a pitch for 7 days, I think they have just given me a price to buy the campsite.
Hence the "pamper" or should that have been "bankrupt"!

A retired fireman started this CL from scratch a few years ago. He has developed it over the years and now includes a small (but beautifully formed) leisure centre.

When we last stayed a couple of years ago, you paid for the CL at £14 a night plus £5 as a day visitor to the leisure centre. It might be worth giving him a ring to see if there is an all inc. price for the week.
It is handy for the village of Ingleton for pub, shops etc. The Dales are on your doorstep and you can be in the Lakes or Morecambe in an hour. Loads of walking and cycling routes.

Try Brighouse Bay just outside Kircudbright in Dumfries and Galloway, although its a big sign it still has the feel of a smaller one due to the way they have laid it out as you cant see the statics from the tourers. The pitches are good size and you have direct access to the beach, nice quiet roads so god for cycling and some nice walks from the site.

Haven holiday parks have great facilities and have special midweek offers.

I stayed at Perranporth in Cornwall and Weymouth in Dorset for less than £10 a night with ehu last year.

Looks another beauty, definite as well at some point, thanks. Plenty to do and also a great area.

Thanks Janine, yes some great prices, especially so from September when kids have gone back to school.

Silverdale, just souths of the Lake District is a beautiful rural location overlooking Morecambe Bay. Holgates have a couple of sites in the area and one of them does have a lovely restaurant/cafe and indoor pool. HOWEVER it is a bit pricey!!

Made our mind up John due to the continuing confusion, maybe your telly is broken too, should there be a deal then we will be leaving a lot earlier.
With our luck we will book a ferry and then Theresa will agree a customs union, more workers rights, sh-g Jeremy Corbyn and we would leave in a fortnight.
With 2 dogs it's still confusing.

But with a deal comes a transition period .... so you’d be ok anyway. I’m not trying to persuade you to go abroad, honest, the U.K. is wonderful too!

Great site though, and what even better is there is a large caravan/motorhome accessory shop next door so you can even spend more money with Salop leisure

Go to the window - can you any flying pigs?

I bet you £10 that on the 1st November we will still be in the EU.

not turning this into another b..... thread or diverting the thread, but would like to say it wont stop us going over , in fact it might add a bit of excitement to it, we recently booked a holiday in algarve which straddeled the proposed date just to see if they wouldnt let us back in but as we all now know , nowt happened :( and cant honestly see it making one iota of difference(y)

Everybody will be ok as we aren't leaving and never were. A higher power has deemed that we be part of the EU. So that's where we are staying. Not making a political point just a logistics they way it has to be one. so don't worry after all the deck chair re arranging we will be in and we get lots of holiday and roaming opertuities..
