Really sorry folks, posted a reply before introducing myself. I joined today. I'm Alan, engineer and lifelong technical tinkerer, now retired to Weymouth, Dorset. Camped for 55 years on foot and on motorbikes, now Mayya and I want a bit more comfort so we've built a camper from an L3 H3 Transit for us and the 2 dogs. So lots of camping and travel experience, and engineering, but not much about actually living in a van! We plan long trips to remote places (I'm thinking Lake Baikal, once the war's over) so packing the van with lots of electric power, gas and water. Carefully designed to have no space at all for children or grandchildren to accompany us! Love the info I saw on this site, so I'm here to learn!
