A bit disappointing, very little motorhome interest at the show. Just a handful of new vans. No big dealers with new models to look at, not an A class in sight.
We couldn't even buy a gallon of Elsan fluid. No busses to Newbury. A neighbour paid £30 for a taxi ! Thank heavens for the brilliant live entertainment.
I wonder if next time the Funsters could get a spot on the higher ground, there was plenty of empty space and the pitches much better.
Left early in case the rain made it a mud bath on the mass exodus.

A bit late now.
Nearest bus stop for Newbury is walk west to Chieveley, then next nearest is walk East to Hermitage.
And likely a limited service at weekends too.

Hope the local transport didn't spoil your visit to West Berks too much (y)

The 2019 Newbury Motorhome Show was great. mrskevenh & I did 90% of our "in-vehicle" research there.
Hopefully with another year of living with Covid and it's foibles, 2022 will be a return to previous interest from suppliers and showrooms

We were there as traders.
There are certain products that are very low profit and toilet blue is the worst! Also the weight of the item is an issue. When times were better we carried a few bottles as a service to customers, but got sick of hearing "I can get it cheaper at XXX" So we now don't bother.
Having said that we now stock a lot of new items that are very popular and we are the only ones at shows with them!
I thought there was a good atmosphere at Newbury and people were happy. We are under a lot of pressure at shows with weather, pitches, competition, theft and a lot of hard work. So please keep visiting.

Just got back from Newbury and to be honest it was a dammsight better than the national which was a complete load of rubbish ,thank goodness the weather was great.
Newbury show was OK there seemed to be more stalls than at the national.. Going to Stratford but after that I think I have had my fill of shows for this year

Arrived Thursday and left yesterday afternoon. Agree there were limited traders / dealers but in view of the uncertainty with COVID and dealers having low stock, not surprising. Made mistake of leaving it too late for Friday show, ” at capacity “ so not allowed in. Thursday show good, really enjoyed Dave Berry on Saturday

Unlikely as most dealers have sold their 2022 allowances and are taking orders from their 2023 stock list

I know for a fact that we (Van Bitz) are not even considering any show until the 2023 season, the last one we did (I think) was the October 2019 NEC

See you at Shepton Mallet.
