Just to let you know we have our motorhome. It is perfect on the inside and out. We are very pleased with it. Just one question for now. Daughter came round to have a look and it was dark. We could not find the light switch for the inside. It is a Hymer b544. Can anyone help please.

I don’t know the layout of your van but on most motorhomes the light switch is by the door as you go in, BUT, the power supply on the control panel must be in the on position before anything will work. Hope that makes sense.

Our switches are on the LHS of the sink if you stand in front of it ,just level with the worktop but on the bit thar forms the back of the seats. Also some just around the wall that houses the washroom.

We will have a look in the morning to see how we get on. I must say that is a good start as newbies to motorhomes. I suggested to hubby we have our tea in it but no we could not find the light switch lol thank you for taking the time to reply. I do look round the forum but as yet I have not replied to anything.

This won't be the only time the lights don't work, and next time there may be no street lights. I always keep a head torch handy.

Does this date or age me? Circa 1958, IIRC. Shortly after I discovered that Muffin the Mule was not something one talked about in polite company ... 🙄

Well hubby found what to do but then messed on with something and water came out the back of the MH (we think from the boiler) and also we think break fluid at the front when he was messing on. Goodness knows what he has done. Now there is no water in the MH and not sure where to put the water back in.

Oh dear does not look like we will get away this weekend. Overall it is a lovely MH and immaculate on the inside until hubby messed on with it. Should I start a new thread on the above?

It might be a good idea then members familiar with your model will be able to help.

It sounds as though hubby has operated the boiler drain valve which is easy to reset, on ours it is a yellow plastic lever style tap near the boiler, not sure about on yours.

Start a new thread and help will be along. Good luck.
