FUNSTER in a PVC
I have to admit I drove a hired VW Crafter ( Merc. Body) last week to move my daughter to her new home and I can see why they are so dear. They drive very well feel tight and reasonably well equipped but I believe reliability is still and issue.

Think I will stay clear of this van for a new conversion

doesn’t really get a good review really
Overall it's not that bad a review. The main complaints are it being fitted with road biased tyres and any converted will most likely have camper tyres fitted anyway. The fuel economy sounds reasonable weight could be an issue but most likely would be with any 4x4. Got no idea how it compares costwise with other vans.

It was a 69 plate so you may be right but it appeared to be the same body shape.
New Shape VW / MAN probably the best large van ATM..

The transit isn't bad but needs larger tyres either 225 75 16 if used onroad or 245 75 16 if off road.

Those shock absorber hangers need sorting I think the USA market have an aftermarket solution.

For off road bias a Iveco is best choice . Hope the new Ford is better than the last 4wd version , very unreliable rep .
