Hi, I have a Carthago Chic I47 2007 and I struggle with the low payload offered. I am looking for a moho with around 1000kg real payload. What are my options? Any advice please?

I would guess A class are heavier than C class.
I would say all motorhomes are going to be more than 2900Kg empty
For a 100kg payload you would need a 4 tonne van and a C1 licence

No option to uprate above the 4000 plate at present 😪 I've asked and it's at its limit now, the other day of the weighbridge it was 4150 with half a tank of fuel and 2 people on board. Both acles were underweight. And believe me the garage was nearly empty.

Our coachbuilt has a payload of over 1000kg at 4.25T with an unladen weight of between 2900 & 3200kg so there are mohos out there but need a bit of finding.

If it was 150kgs over the plated weight but both axles were below their weight then it should surely be possible to uplate? If your below the axle weights what's preventing the up plating? Have a word with Dee at Van weight engineering, it costs nothing to enquire.#

Heavy van and a poor payload

On those plates you could only go to 4150.
You could change the front struts to increase the front axle to 2100 or 2300 but that won't be much help you probably need the rear increasing possibly get to 2500 but £2k for 200kg is expensive.
. I would have a word with Mick at SAP and see what solutions he can offer.
