Motorhome parking in Thetford

We are visiting Thetford soon, does anyone know of a car park which accepts motorhomes (6 metres)?

A11, Last roundabout thetford , turn left on the 134, a couple of miles and there’s picnic areas on the right.

Sounds like a no to me, a shame because I wanted the same thing, I wanted to visit the dad's army museum.
I was a little bemused to find the thetford forest campsite is 11 miles from Thetford and so if there isn't parking in thetford (no surprise there but you gotta ask) are there any buses that go past the campsite to Thetford ?

I actually found a very easily accessible spot opposite the Black Horse pub in Magdelene Street. It is a kind of lay bye which was completely empty when I visited and no parking restrictions. Three minute walk to the centre.

Use the above and streetview should be able to find something. I noticed there is a retail park as well so probably a 2 hours free
