Hi Vic,
I have spoken to Mike Parkinson and he suggests the maximum load should be 150 kgs plus 50 kgs for the rack itself. As he said, anything above and you risk the motorhome front wheels lifting off the ground.

Hi,
To clarify, this rack is bolted to the chassis under the vehicle. It does not sit on a towbar.
I am not aware of type approval for racks. A number of members on this site recommend this manufacturer.
