We periodically get threads on here about taking MHs to the Canaries. Apparently, according to an item in this week's English edition of EuroNews newspaper, there has been a big increase in the number of motorhomes in the Canaries. But the author puts it down to the recently introduced (in the last few years) travel discounts for residents to travel inter-island, and deciding to buy MHs to explore the region.
