I am fitting a dual lens reversing camera and would like to fit it directly below my high level third brake light.
However having searched the internet and looked at many motorhomes for a solution.
I have found that if the third brake light if fitted it must be in working condition and you must be able to see 60% of it as I understand it.
I attach examples of similar motorhomes which have the reversing camera below the brake light and some are bigger than the one I am fitting.
Any MOT experts? IMG_0665.webpIMG_0664.webpIMG_0663.webpIMG_0666.webp

Mine has the camera below the hi-level brake light. Never had any MOT issues. It seems to be the only way to easily fit the wiring as it is through the wall, not through the fairing above the light

I suspect it's more to do with light pollution.

You want to make sure the camera if fitted below the 'pool' of the light.
Look where other Hymers Exsis's have the (factory fitted) cameras placed.

Mine, (on a 2018 Hymer 570) is about 30cm below the light.
This will require a hole to be drilled through the wall for the camera.

Doing a Google search of images, it looks like just above the seam is the correct place.

My 2014 rear panel is a flat curved panel not sculptured like yours and my brake light is much lower. Blue is masking tape for setting out.

The MOT manual states that if a third brake light isn’t working then the benefit of doubt must be given as disconnected and therefore not testable. If working then more than half of the leds must work.
The main thing is that as long as the main left and right ones work, the centre one being unseen from lower angles of view isn’t in scope.
