We decided it was time to take Bella (our 79-4) to visit the Cotswolds again. This time we pitched up at the Moreton-in-Marsh Caravan and Motorhome Club site.

It’s a very pretty site. It is a short 5-minute walk into the Town itself and just a few minutes’ walk further on is a train station with connections to lots of popular towns and cities.

There are lots of beautiful walks nearby as well as some great pub restaurants.

Well worth a visit.

We have uploaded a video to YouTube if you are interested in seeing what it looks like.

We stayed there for a night last summer, for the first time.

It rained.

Probably can't blame that on the site though, which was nice.

Likewise we have stayed there many many times , we love it . Great site .

Nice site. Stayed there a few times

There used to be an old fashioned toy shop there with pea shooters and spud guns.

I was more interested than the kids

And yes I did buy a spud gun.

Love these type of videos, really gets the feel of a place… thank you 😎

We are booked for a couple of nights in October. The video confirmed we have made a good choice. A short walk into the town to a good pub and a good restaurant will make it well worth the trip

We have also had a look at the video for the old oaks site. This is now on our list of places to stay. Thank you

I see you decided to stay with the camc in the end after all 🤭. Even promoting the sites for them as well 😂.
Looks like a nice well kept site .

We were lucky enough to live in Moreton-in-Marsh in the 1980’s and regularly return to stay on the site.

We've stayed there over the weekend and were disappointed with Moreton in Marsh. I compare it to Broadway and enjoyed Broadway more.

The CMC site was full, staff very friendly and helpful but felt the part of the site we were in was a little too crowded. We could only book a pitch without awning so that affects my thoughts on the site.

My comments are also with the view we didn't have a car, dog in a buggy and so we were limited with what we could do, buses on Sunday extremely limited.

So sorry folks not one of our favourites.

Fantastic restaurant called Restaurant Henne, and also a great beer/whisky/gin shop in the town. But truly horrendous pizza from the van that comes to the site on Fridays.

There used to be a Christmas Shop in Moreton - is that still there?

If they let us peasants in that are not members of any clubs we will give that a try next trip.

Glad you found it useful.. We loved Old Oaks. I'm sure you will too.

We got snowed-in at Moreton-in-Marsh in 2018…….. (y)

I agree that the main, open field can be crowded. We always try to stay to the right hand side of the entrance road, among the trees.

The ‘glamping pods’ are well-used, I imagine - they were just being installed when we were last there……

We are there this weekend for a grown up trip to Longbourgg Opera for our anniversary 😃

Been a couple of times. Site is good and good location.

Daniel.

As with most clubsites, too expensive and too high a risk of bedlam.

I'm surprised you didn't get hung drawn & quartered and your head put on a stake at the entrance for driving the wrong way round the one way system.
