Van Conversion Eventually

Hi all,

I’ve looked through the DVLA guidance on converting a van to a camper but can’t find anything specific to a side window other than that it has to have one.

I didn’t want a side window, in order to stay in stealth mode, but by my reckoning I should be able to get away with a 10” or 12” porthole window in the side door.

Any thoughts or guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks

Could you fit a window similar to the ones you get in crew-cab version and put that in, you might get one from a scrap yard, it would then still be more like a works van than a camper?

Is it vital you reclassify it to a motorcaravan?
Surely nothing to stop you cooking/sleeping in it. Might be a problem if you want to go on CMC sites of course, but why would you
