Mini wet room

Hi Folks my wife has mobilty problems (MS). We have a Swift Bolero and I am thinking whether I could do away with the shower curtain and make a mini wet room ie sit on the loo and shower. The walls surrounding the loo just look like covered hardboard or ply and don't look waterproof, however, I could cover them. Has anyone any experience or ideas please.

Many Motorhomes effectively have a "wet room" where for example the shower head is the sink tap that pulls out on a flexible pipe.
And so the entire toilet / sink / shower are all one space.
I can't comment on converting though?
