I bought a Mig Welding set to repair my van. I paid £233 for it.

My van has since failed it's MOT catastrophically and I am getting rid of it (the van).

I therefore have a MIG welding set (never used). and the following.
3 brand new gas bottles,
Large reel of welding wire.
Bag of Spare nozzles.
Auto darkening helmet (needs new glass).
Loads of clamps large and small.
Magnets
Welding tunic.

Looking for £120 All in. Worth much much more, but need to clear quickly.

Collection from Mablethorpe, sorry I can't ship it.

When you say a welding set do you mean the machine itself? What kind is it? Any pics?

Muckle thanks.

monzer just noticed you are near Aberdeen. A bit too far to travel for this I think?

Cheers. Well I'm off travelling at the moment but my work are looking for a replacement unit. Needing something more heavy duty though.

Yeah, its a light duty one suitable for car body work and perhaps up to 4mm maybe 5mm steel light duty cycles.

Hello Gromett, I'd be interested in taking it - am planning on doing a welding course in the autumn, so I can repair my old Volvo 480, whose rear arches have gone the way of all cars of that era.

I'd have to drive over from Lancs to collect though. PM me if you would like to proceed.

Cheers!

The gear is all set here. Why don't you bring your motorhome and have a night at Jasmin (Jim's site) while you are here? Nice area to visit.
If you do want it let me know and I will stop trying to sell it :)

Cheers.

Selling cheap as I need to empty my trailer to sell it. If I have to put it on ebay/facebook it will be a touch more expensive. It is quite the bargain.
The cylinders alone cost me £14 each.

I am winding down now and trying to avoid oil under my fingernails these days. 2 years ago and I would of bought it. bargain for whoever buys it

Hi, do you ever come a wee bit further south? I would be interested but the 6 hour round trip from Irvine is putting me off!

If any southern contingent are after a welder and don't want to go get Grommets that far north.
My brother brought back one of mine from his place down in Cornwall yesterday as he's emigrating to Crete. I've got two others I use now so don't need that one, it is old but reliable SIP Topmig Turbo 170 so if I recall it's a 170 amp model.
Has a massive bottle of BOC argosheild light gas with it
Can supply a mask and gloves too if you want as I have spares.
I'm in Gloucestershire if anyone's interested.
If this steps on your advertising toes here Grommet, I'll remove no bother, just thought I'd mention it while it was fresh in my memory

No toes stepped on. Have at it.

We are all out to achieve two things. Sell something we no longer need and help a funster out.

Last call before I put it on ebay.
