MH equipment suppliers in the UK

last time i was in the UK i stopped into Jacksons leisure to buy a Max Fan , i found they seemed to have a lot for sale , are there any other big suppliers in the UK , that carries stock and you can just turn up and purchase stuff for a van conversion ?

I doubt you'd beat O'Leary Motorhomes near Beverley, E Yorkshire, last time I spoke to them a couple or so years ago they had 4 warehouses with stuff in ... and were looking to add more!

They have a lot available in the main sales warehouse but it would be a good idea to ring first and check what they've got, or could bring to the sales one, for you to peruse, bearing in mind the distance you'll have to travel.

Magnums Grimsby. I was in there the other day. Superb setup, they've moved accross the yard and have have a ton of space. You could easily build a complete van or three from their store, I'm sure plenty do.

Magnums is by far the best "one stop shop" IMO

There's others that are great for specific areas, like electrics. Marine shops can be really good, depending on what you want to build.

Also eBay. Keep a list and wait for the offers. Can make a huge difference cost wise.

Bought most of our stuff from there as we only live 15 miles away. If anyone is buying quite a few bits then have a word with Ken who owns it and you may be able to get 5 % discount.

All very interesting if you live ‘up north. Living in Bedfordshire or further south it would be nice to hear of other who are a tad closer. “Charles” used to stock stuff but I think they vanished.

Tbh, I can't think of any. Caravan accessory shops or marine chandlers yes, but nothing like Magnums or O'Leary's.

I lived about as far south as you can for 10 years (south coast of Cornwall) and still ordered from Magnum's.

One thing to bear in mind that not everything will be on their websites, this is definitely the case with O'Leary as there's only a fraction of what they have in stock on there. They have lots of new 'old' stock as they buy it from other companies that cease trading as well as end of lines, surplus stock etc from MH manufacturers. Once you know what you want best to ring all that are within the area you're planning on going to and see what they can definitely supply and at what cost.
