Does anyone have one or can point me in right direction?
I'm trying to get to grips with the different components. We seem to have instructions for everything else but this..though we have some hand written instructions for sleep mode.
I can't seem to see any dealers who can check our system is working ok. On the PIR it says home system . I replaced the battery and it now flashes red but doesn't take action when I wave to it. I would like it checked out somewhere .

We have a Meta alarm on our van, fitted by a previous owner. We had virtually no documentation, only one key fob and hadn't a clue where the control box was located. I tried contacting (Meta agents) to obtain a second key fob but they couldn't give me any advice but to take it to a garage some miles away. Instead we went to a local, reputable, auto electrics specialist and they found the control box and sent it away for two new fobs to be coded then refitted everything.

You could try contacting Vestatec first.

Thanks do you happen to have aquired some documenting since ? I'm just not convinced it's working as it should.

I obtained the operating instructions for our alarm (M870) Here. There are manuals for other alarms as well so yours may be there. Meta have operating instructions on their site .

Our alarm doesn't have a PIR. It has two sensors similar to the ones in the picture plus door triggers.

If you still have problems it would be worth consulting a car electrics/alarm specialist.

We have a Meta alarm on our van, it came factory fitted.

I have the Instructions in French and perhaps German and Italian, non of it helped me in any case.....

Ours has a grey key fob that allows you to deactivate the PIR's which is handy but rather annoyingly it has a confirmation beep for all actions, asked to have it removed but got passed around the houses by the dealer and Meta and then gave up.

Let me know If I can help you in any way.

Ours has a grey fob too. You can press it after using the ignition key blah blah to deactivate the inside sensors . I played around with this today turning on off etc but the PIR still never detected me waving at it after changing the battery...though it was flashing which I thought might be a bit if a pain when trying to sleep

@Ridgeway can you take a photo of the PIR and the hab door alarm to see if we have the same thx

Here you go:

The part that sits on the dash, has the red LED on it. The red LED only flashes when the PIR's are on, it's hardly noticeable although we always have PIR's off at night (dogs)

and didn’t think it was working. Just went in the van and the alarm went off and scared the living daylights out of me! Must have previously and unknowingly pressed something! The links to Meta do not appear to work now so I wonder if anyone knows what these three small buttons on the fob do? Many thanks!
