Media Help Needed (1 Viewer)

I can see this has been looked at before, but I need some help here.

I have a showcase tab but nothing for media.
If I click on a link posted by Jim such as:-
Broken Link Removed
all I get is an error message telling me 'You do not have permission to view media'

Cache cleared, logged in and out repeatedly, tried firefox, chrome and ie, used windows xp and 7, tablet using Jellybean and phone. So what is it I'm doing wrong?
