Has anyone visited Mainz, it’s on the Rhine and looks like a good stopover for the night/day.

Just stopped there Sunday and Monday at the Stellplaz. The stellplaz was fine for a night or two but its a 35 minute walk into town (uphill all the way back) a few museums and bits to see in town which would easily fill a day.

We were there on Monday and Tuesday, stayed on the campsite next to the Rhine, 15 minute walk into old town.
Cannot say I was that impressed with the place but we had a look and won’t return as plenty of other places to visit.
