If like me, you are planning a mainland European trip in the near future, you don’t like adhesive stickers stuck to the van and cannot yet find a magnetic option, have a look at the website Zazzle.co.uk
There you can design your own lettering onto a magnetic car-sticker shape.
The cost for mine was about £5 plus £5 for delivery so more expensive than when/if these become available from the usual retailers here in the UK, but our need is rather urgent and so we went for one now.
Despatch is from the USA and delivery via UPS took about a week.
This is just a pointer for funsters who might find themselves in similar situations to me and is not about the merits or otherwise of complying or not.
