How are you getting there?

Direct ferry, or through France?

If you’re likely to visit a city with a LEZ then the answer is “yes”. Spain has some LEZs, though the application of rules is a bit difficult to follow 🥴 My understanding from last year is that Spain cannot provide emission stickers for foreign registered vehicles - but they will recognise them from another country. We traveled with French Crit ‘air vignettes. https://www.certificat-air.gouv.fr/certificat/demande/ext/vehicules

Not expensive. Worth having in case of emergency. The email confirmation of payment is sufficient proof - if it’s not delivered in time.

Also lots of threads here on MHF

How does that work then> Since Germany has 3 categories of sticker and France has 5 categories. Surely they cannot be the same.

Hah! Like most of EU regulation, it appears confusing and every state has their own interpretation. I have one vehicle with one engine and different stickers for France and Germany - who don’t accept each other’s stickers. German numbers go up as the engine gets newer, French numbers go down 🥴. The only simple thing is they indicate the one engine. This graphic may be out of date

Always strikes me as odd in the UK you need a Euro 6 engine for LEZ but most other countries including Germany only Euro 4.
Lenny, I think maybe you're being London centric?
None of the 8 UK cities doing LEZ currently charge us for a Euro 5 Fiat.
London's charges are probably ULEZ /congestion charge, (I wouldn't know; or ever need to find out!)

What about Euro 4?

Initials LEZ applies to London Emissions Zone. Who else has used it, and for what, is their business.

Europeans (in English) call them Low Emissions Zones
