One for @Jim

I've noticed that whenever I try and post a link to a product on Amazon the software is trying to embed the link as media so the result is that it doesn't show in the post at all.

Example:

This link: http: // . co. uk/Bose-SoundLink-Mini-Bluetooth-Speaker/dp/B00XVKWV5S/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1456906111&sr=1-4&keywords=bose+soundlink+mini

Posted below as a hyperlink, obviously without the spaces:

Amazon product ASIN B00XVKWV5S

^^^^^^

When I edit the post to see where it's gone this is what I get:

Any ideas?

I've never followed it up to find out the reason but it appears that there is some code on the Amazon web site that converts a copied link to something they prefer.

Something created by Amazon so it looks more attractive and gives more info-- picture and price. Made me go and look at it ;)

Do you see the media then?

I don't see anything at all :(

It's to do with Adblocker and Amazon ... if I have Adblocker enabled on this site I can see actual web links to other sites etc as text but not Amazon.

If I put in the link [without the spaces]:

Link Removed . amazon . co.uk/Bose-SoundLink-Mini-Bluetooth-Speaker/dp/B00XVKWV5S/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1456908225&sr=1-2&keywords=bose+sound+link+mini+bluetooth+speakers

Amazon converts this to the below MEDIA link [without the spaces]:

As it is then deemed to be an advert, if Adblocker in enabled, it blocks the whole thing.

If I disable Adblocker and refresh page I can then see the Amazon item including the picture.

Is it browser related, I had a problem posting and seeing ANY hyperlinks in Fun or RVOC at one time with Firefox for example
