anyone advise on how to tackle this leaking valve which I think is on my heating system which is an Alde Compact 320 HE. It only leaks when the heating is on and the liquid coming out is pink so I am assuming this is the antifreeze.
we arrived yesterday in the Yorkshire Dales for our first trip after covid and it peeing down and bloody cold so hoping I can resolve the problem. The valve is in the bathroom cupboard under the sink and has soaked my partner’s toiletries and hair dryer! She is not best pleased and her being cold makes it worse 😀

Had a similar problem a while ago.
I loosed off the offending thread a turn or two, wound ptfe tape tightly into the gap then re-tightened.
Still holding a year on.

All the best

I think it is most likely one of the bleed points.

You need to know where the leak is.

If it the top mark then I don’t think it can be fixed as its the crimp joint
If it’s the middle mark, then it will be a threaded joint that can be resealed with PTFE tape
If bottom mark then it’s passing the bleed point so may be able to nip up, or reseal.

I think it’s the middle from the pic, but can’t be sure.

If it's not leaking too much, as a temporary solution, I would catch what's coming out and regularly pop that back into the system. Means you could keep heating on without the risk of too little fluid.

On the basis that it is only under pressure from the height of the header tank you might get it to stop with some self amalgamating tape, or do as Steve suggests and nip the pipe and you might be able to remake the joint if that is what is leaking.
