I'll post in the Laika specific forum too but does anyone know which button on the dashboard should activate the hab underseat fan that blows hot air from the radiator that's served by the engine coolant. I have two possible candidates (as well as a rear window heater switch with clicking relay!), as attached, but neither appears to do anything.

Regards,
Lee.

Ours is on the LHS of the steering wheel (LHD) and is a switch with a fan symbol on. This is on a Ducato cab.

Couldn't see anything attached ?

On my 2003 Fiat its a button with a fan symbol and red led to the right of the lever which does the fresh/recirculate air flow in the middle of the dash where all the other heater controls are. My rear heated Window button (which in reality just does the heated door mirrors) is one of the five buttons in the row with the hazard button.

You should be able to tell as the auxiliary rear underneath fan will come on (you can hear it). You may find, though, that it only blows cold air as they are prone to airlocks and maybe the valve sticking.

Thanks for responses so far. I've now attached the photos

The radiator gets lovely and warm and does provide some heat but think I could probably do some toast on it if it was blowing

Cheers,
Lee.

I would of thought it was the central button on the 1st picture

Press both buttons - if neither starts the fan then check fuses

It's a chassis part fitting so will be in with the other engine fuses not any conversion fuses.

On our Laika ecovip 7r it's the switch with the fan and you can hear it when you switch it on and it really heats up quite quickly. :thumb:

same here, it's quite obvious via the noise and the heat after a few seconds.

Thanks David and Ridgeway. At least I have a lead now, rather than wondering if it's the correct button. Now to start looking at fuses but maybe will test voltage at fan first.

Gawd knows what the other little switch is for.

Regards,
Lee.
