Would it be possible to switch it to a 'self-administered' aire type facility that required minimal input by yourself?

IMHO; That sounds like real hard work,
It’s difficult enough controlling what visitors do without giving them free reign to self administer 🤔 in your garden.
But maybe I’m just being pessimistic 🤭

I suppose you could do that if it was an isolated dusty car park, but it's our home, I wouldn't want people camping here when we are away

Congratulations! Sounds like you have made the right decision!

Congratulations on the birth of a new grandchild!!

Not an easy decision I'm sure to close Jasmin Camping, but utterly understandable.

Life moves on and you need to make it work for YOU. (y)

Congrats on the birth of your grandchild.
Was meant to be staying for 3 nights from the 10th July.
Fully understand you closing as your priorities have changed.
All the best for your future endeavours.
Cheers
Sid

Congratulations on your new arrival. Enjoy the moments that your newly found freedom will create.
Perhaps you can read her The Bear Stories book that I left you when you held the charity auction rally a few years ago?
Happy retirement.

Your Bear Stories Book is now pride and place in the nursery, Thank you 💕

I have often wondered where you found the energy and time to run a camping site and MotorhomeFun. I don't know how old you are, but you seemed to have the motivation and energy levels of a 40 year old.
We took the decision to retire early (mid-50s) after a "bad day at the office". It was an impulsive decision made immediately after we had dropped a very expensive TV camera in the sea. It made us realise that we were not young anymore, we were not as fit as we used to be and we were not enjoying being at the beck and call of news editors 24-hours-a-day, putting ourselves in some sticky and sometimes dangerous situations.
The decision to retire and close the business may have been made in just a few hours, but we don't regret it for a moment, and I don't think you will either, Jim

His missus Sian keeps him young (and on his toes)😉👍👍👍

The real shame is that we’re looking for camping in Lincolnshire tomorrow night :-(
