Ace Airstream 600EK
Hi I have just purchased a 2008 Ace Airstream 600EK which has a Truma combo 4/4e? It runs on Gas and electric.
It has the twin controls as below. My question is how much/how long should the hot water last? Is it continuous once up to full temperature? Or is it only the amount of water in the tank? I only seem to get about 30 seconds to a minute of hot water then it goes completely cold.

The boiler heats up 10 Litres of water to either 40 or 60deg. The orange light on the left dial goes out once up to temperature but will start to reheat as it cools down or you use hot water. Heating on electricity takes ages but on gas it's pretty quick

Oops meant the orange light on the right dial 🥴
An orange light on the left dial shows that you're using 240v for heating and/or water.

you don't get a lot of hot water or particularly fast with those. You have to adapt how you use it. Get water hotter and mix with cold to achieve desired temperature. Showering, get wet, water off, soap, rinse. Nothing like a home shower

Could you up grade to a newer Truma system. The one I had in my Bailey 2022 caravan was amazing practically constant hot water.

Your Bailey may have had an Alie system.
With the age of your van are your sure it's a Combi and not a 6004?

The 4 is the newer Combi don't bother with the 40° setting as its useless. It has a large hysteris the heater does not turn back on until temperature has dropped to 27°.
I've noticed that with ours, thought there might be something wrong with the thermostat. Good to know its not just mine.
