I'd be interested to see the 'where people go' section in more detail.

It's notable that the English typically only go for a week (shortest period in the survey)
Whilst the French go for 3 weeks (longest in survey)

It's also noteworthy that the British, alone, seem to prefer their own country, whereas the rest of Europe prefers elsewhere.
Whilst this may be partially because of the additional cost of the ferry/tunnel, the Swedes have similar ferry costs and greater distances to travel and it does not stop them.

I wonder why the British are so reticent to travel to the rest of Europe ?

I think it would have been more meaningful if they had split it into at least 2 age groups, say under & over 60. That would have thrown up much more meaningful results on the length of holidays and winter camping.

I've noticed that the frequency of GB plated vehicles drops sharply the further away from Calais.

Something to do with frogs legs, and snails in garlic butter?

Well that proves conclusively what I have always known:

I'm not a proper motorhomer or camper - thank god for that, as they all sound boring & moan a lot ?

Probably not, in the middle of summer it just gets to hot ? and as Northern Europeans many just do not want to be roasted. Probably fine if you have air conditioning in your Motorhome but many do not find it comfortable once the temperature climbs
