Insurance at 80

What company do you use if 80 years young, is it best to be with a certain company that insures you now,or are there companies that will just take you on,?
And do they add on to the premium because of age

I found its cheaper if you can add another driver to your policy.

I am 82, and insured with Comfort when the C&MHC told me they didn't want me anymore, even the red pennant went from £200 upto £1200, comfort told me their oldest customer is 95 so got a bit to go.

That's fantastic. I've got at least another 24 years motorhoming to go..

Hopefully by then I'll remember to disconnect the EHU before leaving and not trip the European site electrics.

I left C&CC about 10 years ago for much the same reason. Have been with Comfort for sometime now. And no claims so far!

Maybe this is one advantage of countries, like here in Poland, where the insurance attaches to the vehicle not the driver.

Same here in Portugal. We were with " Comfort " in the UK and were VERY happy customers,but when importing the van,had to have " Porty " insurance.
