Hi guys, im hoping for a little advice. I have installed a 110A leisure battery and successfully connected this to the starter battery via a "split charge relay" which charges the battery when the engine is running. I am selling the vehicle and they have requested that I install solar so I have purchased the following kit: Amazon product ASIN B07JD48YCHSo my question is, do I need to disconnect the split charge relay or can I have the split charge and the solar kit connected at the same time and it draw a charge off both?

The split charge connects/disconnects at 13.7/12.8v and the solar at 12.6/10.7v

My assumption would be when the engine is running, it would throw out 13.7v or close to which switched the replay, at that point the solar would detect 13.7V and therefore stop charging. Any help or advice would be great!

Hi..you will be fine connecting your solar charge controller to your leisure battery.. and leave your split charge relay in place.. not unusual to
Have more than one charging source to a battery bank..
You possibly have a mains charger connected as well which could run in conjunction with solar..
