I'm at the Caravan Salon, among every new van under the sun. Has anyone got a particular motorhome they would like me to look at and offer up my opinion and a few photos of it?

Is there any concept vehicles with new tech on them ?
Hymer had one a couple of years back when I was last there.

Be interesting to see those, concept or production, that do not have gas installed and rely on solar especially the supporting electronics.

Had to look up what a Volkner Mobil was, now I know why I didnt look at them when I first started with the MH :giggle:

Any used Autotrail Arapaho's there under twenty five thousand?

A quick peek and some photos at VarioMobil Jim as I can't be there to do it myself and then how about the "new" Flair from N+B, quite a radical and brave departure I think but not sure that it works from the online stuff I have seen.

Enjoy.

The Volkner Mobil is the one that comes around the corner after every advert break in "million pound motorhome" (y)

I had but a hint of an Erdinger hangover this morning. 🤕
I'm hoping for similar at some stage from Wednesday onward, as we mosey on down the Mosel with garjanco Gary & Janet. ;)

If you'll be in that area at all, give us four a shout. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

While you’re doing the blokey stuff Jim, can Sian do the rounds of the accessory stalls and take photos of any must have gizmos, chairs, tables, camping cookers and anything rechargeable. Also - and only if she has time - see if that lady’s there that does the scarf that turns into 1000 different outfits, she may have found the 1001st for Düsseldorf!

Have a lovely time, and drink more wasser with it!

Any smallish vans with slideouts? I know it's trying to fit a quart of Leffe in a pint pot but I like the concept.
Also after the thread about poor insulation in some PVC s do pull the trim off to have a look at what's behind :giggle:

Dorset Lady wants a sub 3500kg twin bedded van with at least 1000kg of payload and space for all the load . It may have Tardis in the name.

Have a great time Jim chill out and enjoy the grate German beer

Interesting toilet layout on that flair. Must be a privacy screen of some sorts I presume?

I believe it’s the shower door comes over the toilet if you want some privacy😏

Anything innovative please (y)
Be it a clever solution to something small, or an entire van, would be great Jim

I've already made two small changes to a design I'm working on, from seeing the Flair images (y)

Any innovations in instant hot water or toilets would be especially hopeful (don't ask  )

Be interesting to see those, concept or production, that do not have gas installed and rely on solar especially the supporting electronics.

You might get away with solar only, but only if the heating were diesel. Is there a diesel heater which also does the hot water? Even then relying on electric for cooking all winter could be a big 'ask'.

Hi Geoff

The Scheer system seems to be the Diesel replacement for Alde wet systems, MORELO are using them on some of the big "no gas" liners, they will mostly have a generator for back up power though.

Oops forgot the link, https://scheer-heizsysteme.de/media/produkt_pdf/Flyer/SCHEER_mobile_ENG.pdf

Here is a tale Jim for you to tell any German friends after Dinner……

A German lorry driver was in a pub in Newcastle gobbing off about how lazy the British are, as he drives his load from Düsseldorf , goes through Holland, up to Newcastle and back to Düsseldorf in two days.

This old Geordie man mutters... "Ay! Way back man... I used to pick up my load in Newcastle drop off in Düsseldorf and be back in Newcastle the same day."

The German trucker snorted and said... "Oh Yeah....what rig were you driving?"

The old fella replied... "A LANCASTER BOMBER!!!"

😂

Something like this.
If I ever win the lotto, this is what I’d be looking at.
However, I think it would cause a few issues with site wardens so I’d seriously have to think about it.

Has any member got a MH that’s 11m plus?
I’ve often wondered how they get on with booking onto sites.
Have a great visit Jim
