I am sat here with my broken foot, browsing through the motorhome/camper pages and styles, and came across this. I thought it might be of interest to watch on these cold dark evenings. The amount of choice customers have with this company is amazing. We probably get the choice, this or this!
Goodness knows what it cost, but some of our vans are very expensive and have nowhere near as much quality, fit or finish. Makes you weep!. After saying that, the owner has nowhere to sit, so must be fortunate to be able to live outside all the time.

Been following them for a while as admire their work (y)

Have you watched the coachbuilt they now produce?

This is the standard I hope to achieve in my vans and hoping to turn into a British version of them in time.

Sorry to hijack post, Wissel where are you based?
I need to speak to a quality converter who could remove the travel seats in my Hymer Grand Canyon S 2021 and replace with a more comfortable option for my traveling kids.
Ideally removal of the present arrangement basically a piece of foam stuck on a wooden box albeit with isofix frame to a modern seat that can recline slightly and expand sideways to give more elbow room.
If you can help or suggest others to speak to i would be most grateful.
OP video amazing.

I will have a watch. I hope you can can attain this quality. I think the main problem is getting the choice of materials and flimsy finish of what you can get.

OP video amazing.

Based in Horncastle, about 20 mins from Jasmine's Campsite.

Happy to have a chat on the phone, maybe a video call so I can see what you want if it helps?

This is why I went self build. You can build up to a standard with the features you want and only the features you want. Rather than putting up with someone else's idea of what a decent layout/design should be.

Don't like the idea of no windows at all, must be very gloomy inside, or lights on all the time.

I’m also at home with a duff foot 🦶 well a shattered heel 12weeks since surgery and I finally was allowed to put weight gain on it with the boot on. What happened to yours 🦶👍🥃

Very interesting video, just goes to prove that with the right people, with the vast amount amount of tech knowledge they have attained, plus material availability & acquisition, Cad Design & build etc, most things are achievable, not forgetting the client budget of course.
It would be very difficult for a one off self builder to get anywhere near this level of finish, without outsourcing their ideas to others with the tools & manufacturing processes to hand, plus the costs to get them to do a one off bespoke arrangement.

Thanks for posting.

Was wondering how you were getting on, that was a very severe nasty accident you had, I can still see the surgery pictures in my head.
You have put me off cleaning the van roof from a ladder now, what I cant reach from inside the open roof lights with a long handled mop can bloody stay there!.
Glad you are now progressing, hope you can get out & about soon.(y)

”No price tag accompanies this custom-built one-off, but Advanced RV does say that its custom vans start around $300,000, so we can only imagine the deluge of pretty pennies this one involved. In fact, we wonder if the buyers were planning to sell their home when they got started or just found it necessary as the build (and pricing meter) progressed.”

give them a call, they may be able to fit you into their production schedule

Depends on what you want.I have only 2 windows in the rea but mosquito blinds & curtains on inside so no real light. + doubled blackout curtains behind front seats to rear.
Having said that the green light from the roof fan + blue lights from the leisure battery display, diesel heater control, & the multiple 12v sockets ,+ the red lighst of the fridge temps & external fans often makes me have to check that the lights haven't been left on when locking it.

On the leg theme , had a medial meniscus repair arthroscopy yesterday and with wonders of modern surgery and painkillers I’ve managed to walk 3 miles today ( around the house and up and down the garden ) . Got to self isolate for a week as catching Covid post op has a dramatic percentage increase in death , yes DEATH ! Its apparently all about blood clot dangers with surgery and the virus .
Hopefully away in the van by the end of the month .

I did see one, a B van, they call it and it stated $350,000. Then you see their workshop and yard full of vans being converted!!! Where do the customers get that sort of money and want to live outside all the time?

Mine was an accident on the motorcycle in my profile picture. 19th July, Boris's Freedom Day. 55 years riding and never an accident, then a few seconds and it is over. Broke my foot in 7 places, plus tendon and ligament damage. 6 weeks in various plaster casts, 6 weeks in a big plastic boot and now physio'. Foot is still badly swollen and sore to walk on and could be a few months before I am able to drive. Hence I am only looking at vans on the internet and thinking of next year. Hope your heel, heals soon. That was one of my breaks also, although I did not need surgery.

Nice attention to detail and 800ah lithium in a panel van👍

Yes makes you think, would it have been better to fit 300 ah of lithium rather than going down the solar route of 200 watts plus 200ah of lithium batteries.

This is a very interesting build.
