Good morning one and all. We have encountered a problem with one of our rental vans, the last customer unfortunately left the bathroom window unlatched and it has flown the coop so to speak so I need to source a replacement ASAP. My problem is without having the window its difficult to establish exactly what sixe and model it is. I know its a polyplastic V-XB but not the exact size. So does anyone have an Elddis Autoquest/Compass AvantGarde 130 of 20052006 vintage (on the X244 chassis) who could send me a clear digital photo of the identifier label on their bathroom window. The label will be in the top right hand corner looking from the outside and will have the necessary details I need on it. Please only respond if you have the correct model as we don't know that a window for a 100 or 120 would be the same size. Elddis Autoquest/Compass AvantGarde 130 of 2005/2006 vintage and its the washroom window. Thanks in advance.

What about O' Leary Dave (y)
That's why I need the code off the identification label. I don't have the old window to compare or measure. Once I have the specific details I can then find a supplier. The major issue is the van in question is due out again on Thursday.

How about a slightly larger window and make the hole bigger

Because replacing the window like for like maintains the correct appearance of the vehicle, a different window would look very odd. Besides which the hirer will be paying for the replacement window and a like for like will probably be about £250 ISH plus about half an hour labour to fit. A different window would also require a different frame almost doubling the cost plus about four hours labour to do it (that's four hours I don't have spare before it goes out on hire again). So a like for like will cost the hirer around £300-£350, your idea would be double that figure at the least and I'm not here to rip customers off.

I don't need to know where to get it from, we have several regular suppliers we can get it from, I don't need suggestions, however well intentioned, as to how to bodge something up. All I need is the polyplastic identifier from an identical model.

Hi Dave
Maybe not that helpful but there may be one for sale in Gloucester
Given your critical timing could it be worth a phone call to them to see if they would oblige by getting someone to look at the window for the part number? Or if worst comes to worst a mornings round trip for you to see it!
Might not be workable but .........................

Didn't realise that you do rental is there a separate website? My daughter is on about doing the nc500 next year.

Thanks for that, the most sensible response yet. I will bear it in mind if we can't find the necessary info. I was pretty sure there were several members with this model but they're probably all away enjoying the bank holiday sunshine. There's still time.

yes it is a separate business: leisure vehicle rentals ltd. I haven't put much on here as yet about it because that business doesn't at present advertise on here.

So sorry for making the effort, because it says in the middle of the page that bathroom MKP rooflight is 400x400. An assumption on my part that you were asking the size of the rooflight. My bathroom is a rooflight so mind was in auto pilot. Having just read properly, you were asking for the size of the window.

I won’t make that mistake again as was done with best intentions.
