So our new to us B544 on an alko chassis didn’t come with the much complained about table fitted. The original table top was stored under the van but no telescopic leg. Managed to buy a leg off here and got it brought down from Cumbria. The leg collapsed height was 35mm too tall to use, so I striped it down cut the square section down and re welded the m6 nuts on the side. If anyone is dismantling a telescope leg take lots of pics ! I learnt the hard way. The table I made is 42” by 19” and makes a king size bed with the left hand slide out section extended with longer slats by the previous owner , I added the support legs. Ok it’s not oem but we can now use the van the way we want to. Be interested to see how others have done table mods and that might be of some interest.

Looks a good job, well done.
We had a B584 where the previous owner had cut and hinged the table with piano hinge. That worked well for us but a different scenario.
