The National Motorcycle museum hasnt been able to reopen because they re stuffed for money are having a raffle to win a motorcycle to try and raise
funds to re-open. I think it would be a shame to lose it and if you re reading this you probably wouldnt mind winning another bike so details are

It doesn’t say how much the tickets are.

Done, great cause and great prizes.
Obviously when I win I’ll have to get a larger garage ;)

Done!

I also bought tickets for the current quarter’s bike raffle so that’s me now in with the chance of winning two out of four bikes! 😁

I'd love the B31. Had one when I was 17.

I hadnt noticed that one, might go back and have another go. I wonder if it would fit in the garage?

If it wouldn’t now, it would by the time they announced you as the winner! 😉

All done Thanks for sharing (y) (y)

I was just passing this thread by when I realised I’ve been to the museum a few times and thoroughly enjoyed it, I spent many of my formative years fishing bikes out of the canal and rebuilding them, we kept a Greaves scrambler tucked away in the corner of the field at school and used to ride it on the old railway line after school, and I learned to ride on a 650 Bonneville, huge part of my youth, it would be such a shame to lose this resource so had a hundred quids worth, money well spent, must have saved 100 times that not going to the pub during Covid. I have posted it on the Bird ( CBR1100XX ) forum too

Love the sentiment, no thanks for the bike Rose specs and a workers sit in, does it come with a drip tray and AA membership? 45 year old ( 60+ year old design) and very hard seals , unless comes with a complete rebuild would not be interested , not dissing or slagging off bike but being realistic ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and a silver jubilee trumpet was not worth that much anyway! Sending a donation to museum I am not in the slightest interested in bike ! 2nd and 3rd bikes ,,,,,,,,,,,,had both ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,never again,,,,,,,,,,,,no rose tinted specs here had a Yamaha Y 100cc twin that wiped the floor for the Ariel and the BSA and was so reliable as for the RD 250 it would beat them all! A great prize for those that like getting covered in oil and remembering * when* I remember when and have no intention of going back!
