A newbie
Currently in Guarda, Portugal and bathroom door handle has fallen off. MH is a 2020 Knaus Sun. Looks as if the retaining grub screw has disappeared and handle has gradually loosened. Would be very grateful for any assistance with removing circular plate inside handle to access screw heads and re-fasten to door. Photo 1 shows the plate. It does not appear to be threaded or an interference fit. If the circlip is removed I will be unable to replace it once screws are tightened. Photo 2 shows handle with missing grub screw and Photo 3 where it fits on the door.

I would be most grateful for any suggestions.

The handles should be joined together with one bolt from one side and one bolt from opposite side. They thread into the opposing threaded sleeve. These bolts are accessed by popping the cover off, normally by prying with screwdriver on the small cut out on the base of the cover. Often an extra screw is placed through the handle flange to help it stop rotating

On a delicate door, such as the crap cardboard ones in houses these days or motorhome lightweight doors you really want all the fixing used to stop it causing problems.

So ideally you want to add the grub screws into the handle bases as well as the joining bolts.

I think the lack of grub screws it what has caused your issue as it was relying on those tiny threads in Chineasium

Very grateful for the advice Andy. A thin screwdriver pried off the cover. Flimsy door was a problem and possibly rubbish factory assembly. I am always wary of attacking rubbish lightweight components without knowing exactly what I am doing. I have re-assembled and tightened up and the handle is more solid than when new.
